We had a very disappointing, stressful stay. Noise from the jacuzzi above our room continued, and there were repeated disturbances late at night. With no overnight staff or security around, we had no one to turn to for help. Housekeeping was first described as available, and our service request was approved. Later, when we came back from a long day, we were told it wouldn’t be provided. We had to deal with the accumulated trash and room upkeep ourselves, without meaningful help. The vacuum we asked for so we could clean never arrived. Common areas were also an issue: the lobby and entrance often looked unmaintained for days, and there were wine spills on the floor from the night partying. The advertised included breakfast was mainly coffee and prepackaged muffins or bagels, which wasn’t what we expected. Management’s response to our concerns stood out most. Conversations about housekeeping and cleanliness felt confrontational and dismissive instead of focused on a solution. Fees that had previously been waived were later added to our account after we raised those concerns, which was discouraging given the circumstances. We also saw management smoking right outside guest areas, and on several occasions staff didn’t acknowledge or help us when we passed them about the unresolved issues. We booked six days but left on day five, losing that day. The stay felt like there was no consistent management presence or guest support, and the way our concerns were handled lacked professionalism. It became really hard to enjoy our vacation.

We had a confirmed reservation through the hotel website for a room for four. Before booking, we’d also checked availability with customer care. When we arrived at 9:30 PM, the front desk clerk said there’d been a “website glitch” and wouldn’t honor the room type. She told us we could sleep in a one king bed room meant for two, with a roller bed for the other two. We asked for two king beds instead. She said she’d check with the manager, but there was no reply. We asked her to call, and she hesitated. Later, she offered two rooms, but said she couldn’t do anything else. We waited a long time and eventually gave up. It was raining heavily, late at night, and the location is remote. Even after we explained that we had a contract for a specific room type, no one helped us resolve it. We had to cancel and drive 30 minutes to find another safe place to stay. I can’t trust a hotel that won’t honor confirmed bookings and leaves guests stranded in bad weather, and I’d strongly advise against booking if you need a guaranteed room. I saw a response to this review saying they called back, but we never got a call. Even the person at reception didn’t know about it until she found it.

The Moonstone beach boardwalk is right behind the hotel, and it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the beach. We had such a good time. The rooms were beautiful, and the service was amazing. The woman at reception was kind and helpful. I’d definitely visit again!

I came here to gather myself and recharge, and that’s exactly what I did. The hotel is beautiful, and the sweetest lady greeted me with an infectious smile that made my day. The little shops and restrooms are two minutes away, and the beach is also just two minutes away. I can’t wait to come back. If you need somewhere to stay, this is it.

The front desk staff were so kind when I came back in a bit of an urgent situation and let me use the staff restroom. I really appreciated their understanding and hospitality. The hotel itself has a beautiful classic feel, and everything was clean and refreshing. They made my day, and I’d recommend the place to anyone visiting the area.
