Quality Inn & Suites Downtown

The people at the front desk were incredibly rude. The Hyatt charges the same price for a much nicer room, and the staff there are kind and quick, exactly the opposite of this dump.

The location is handy for getting around Green Bay, and the gentleman who checked me in was very nice. Those are the only reasons this gets more than one star. I’d never stay here again. I was here for three nights over the last week of September. At first the room seemed okay, despite chips and dents in the walls and other damage. Then the bathroom fan, which comes on with the single light switch, gave off a burning smell that lingered in the room. I didn’t want to breathe it, so avoiding the bathroom switch as much as possible was a huge pain. I also found a dried-up bug in the bed with obvious insect droppings. It was so desiccated I couldn’t tell if it was a bed bug. I had a very severe skin reaction, perhaps to detergent on the sheets or possibly chemicals left after pest treatment. Nearly three weeks after the stay, it still hadn’t gone away. My dermatologist confirmed it was contact dermatitis from staying in this room. I’ve never had this before, and the persistent itching, especially on my face, is what finally pushed me to write this.

We enjoyed staying here, though the place is a little dated. The pool area is really nice, and there’s a game room on the second floor. Parking is odd, but understandable for a bigger city. Restaurants and convenience stores are nearby, and there are lots of bear by locations to visit while staying somewhere comfortable in town.

The pool room is a highlight, with a large pool that has a deep end, a whirlpool hot tub, and a small wading pool that's great for toddlers. The rooms are run down, though not terrible, and at least they’re clean. Not having adjoining rooms was a downside for me.
