Baymont by Wyndham Cambridge

The mattress sank badly on one side, and the tub handle felt like it might come off when we lifted it. The smoky smell in our non-smoking room kept getting worse. We asked to switch, but were told it was too late; turning on the AC seemed to help a little. We stayed just one night and tried to make the best of it. Outside, there were ducks, droppings, and trash on the sidewalk by our room. Inside, the chair was worn, the desk wobbled, one lampshade had yellow stains, and there was a dehumidifier. We chose the place for its reasonable price and no pet fee. In the morning we saw the Red Roof sign was falling apart, which felt like a warning.

The pool area’s hot tub has been filled in and is gone, and the rooms themselves are pretty gross, with stains on the walls. My wife said the bathtub looked like it might fall through the floor. This place needs serious renovation to be nice again. Honestly, I’d go to a Holiday Inn and sleep comfortably.

The breakfast was a real meal, served in its own dining area, and there’s a heated pool. Everyone working here was really nice and on top of things. I didn’t stay very long, and around 9 pm there were lots of kids at the pool. Unlike some other hotels, this one doesn’t have adult swim.

I’m glad the staff read reviews and respond quickly. When I got back from work, they’d fixed the safe, and the window issue turned out to be my mistake. I’m uncomfortable bringing complaints up face to face, and they made me feel at ease instead of bad about posting. This is one of the easiest hotels to get along with, and you get more than you pay for. Thanks for taking my post seriously.
