The service at this small inn was remarkable. The staff are a small, youthful team, but they were so engaging and went above expectations, from the initial booking to finding an item we were having trouble locating in town and gift-wrapping it. Zachary deserves special credit for making this a stay unlike any hotel we’ve had. We were among the first guests, and our booked room wasn’t quite ready, so we were upgraded and compensated, though the compensation wasn’t necessary. Our room was comfortable and ample in size, though rooms in this old renovated house aren’t large. Breakfast choices were limited but excellent, and the room was a restful place to enjoy coffee or tea with jazz playing. The inn is across from Cambridge Commons and a short walk from Harvard Square. If we can get a room, this will be our go-to hotel in Boston and Cambridge.

The Harvard Radcliffe campus couldn’t be more convenient from here. I had a wonderful stay, with a lovely room, a comfortable bed, and a shower that got wonderfully hot. The private patio was especially peaceful. The team were warm, hospitable, and accommodating. I didn’t want to leave, and I’d recommend staying here to all my friends.

The location can’t be beat, and this beautiful historic boutique hotel is just like the pictures. From the way the key was presented to the room’s quality, design, and finish, everything was chef’s kiss. I’ll definitely make this my new favorite hotel near Harvard.

The small touches made a real impression, from the handwritten welcome note and gift bag with a pen and pencil to the neatly presented envelope with all the information we needed. The staff were welcoming, kind, and engaging, and clearly proud of their work and the hotel. It’s beautiful, historic, and comfortable, with hospitality that’s unmatched. This is hands-down the best Lark hotel we’ve stayed at, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.
