The location is superb, around the corner from Bagelsaurus and the cute wine bar Dear Annie. The team was responsive and answered our questions, and the lobby Nespresso machine was a nice bonus for our morning coffee. The hotel was gorgeous and elegantly decorated. Our room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Such a cute place in Cambridge, and I’d highly recommend staying here.

I stayed in one of the Garden Suites for a friend’s wedding and really enjoyed it. Being so close to Porter Square was convenient for everything, with Davis Square a short walk away and Cambridge reachable by bus or Uber. The room had just enough space and very nice amenities. The whole stay was easy, and I plan to come back. Simons coffee across the road is a great spot, too.

Prentiss House is in a fantastic spot, about a 10-minute walk to Harvard, maybe 15 minutes to Harvard Square, and 10 to Porter. There are plenty of restaurants for takeaway nearby. It’s just off Mass Ave, so it stays quiet enough to sleep with the windows open. Next time we’re in Cambridge, we’ll first check if it’s available. The house is historic but recently renovated, with cozy rooms and apartments equipped with a small fridge, microwave, and kettle. There’s unlimited complimentary tea and coffee, plus a coffee machine in the common area with a fireplace. Internet was fast enough for business Zoom calls. We didn’t see anyone from management during our roughly 10 days there, but email responses were quick and helpful. They were open minded, relaxed, and accommodating, and tried to solve issues simply. Asking service or cleaning staff for an extra blanket or towel was no problem, nor was having the room made up outside the regular schedule. Thanks for a great stay!

We came by train from Providence for a birthday night away, and the fridge, microwave, and sink in the kitchenette were really convenient. The place was reasonably priced, too. We loved the building’s character. It has old charm and some original fixtures, but has been fixed up and decorated with a modern feel. It felt like just the kind of place we wanted, without being too “hotel-ish.” The room was clean and simple, and soaps were provided. My only issue with the shower was the pressure, the water came down hard and felt harsh. There were kids from other rooms running around and screaming early in the morning. My boyfriend and I both work, I was on spring break, and we’d left our dog at home for the night, so we were hoping to sleep in a bit. I don’t blame the children, I know they have energy and parenting is hard. But if you want to rest, be aware the walls are thin, which makes sense in an old house. Something to consider when booking. Even with those two issues, we loved the place and still think it deserves five stars.

Our stay at Prentiss House went flawlessly. I used to live nearby, so I knew the neighborhood, and around PH there’s everything you might need for shopping and other everyday errands. Not having staff on site caused us no problems. The remote PH staff were easy to reach by DM on ABNB and replied promptly. We look forward to staying at PH again, and I highly recommend it.
