Red Roof Inn Cambridge, OH

We booked three rooms for different family members over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and stayed one night. Each room had beds that felt a little too firm for us, but otherwise we had a pleasant stay. Everything was clean, the staff were friendly, and getting here from the freeway was easy.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the room was clean. There's anything you need nearby, and for the price and location, it's hard to complain. We'll be back. Thanks, Red Roof Inn 👏

Everyone working there was very nice, and the rooms were clean, though watch out because the shower is slippery. Red Roof has just taken over the motel and is beginning renovations. We stayed because it was close to salt fork park, which is a must-see. It's a good place for travelers with pets, and I expect Red Roof will have it remodeled in six months. Red Roofs are great when you're traveling.

After driving 700 miles, I arrived with an online reservation and three small dogs, expecting to be settled. The only employee at the desk around 8 p.m. on November 3 was aggressive and rude from the start. Red Roof is supposed to welcome dogs, but she acted as if I were trying to bring in huge ones and kept putting the pet policy paper in front of me. I was told I owed another $30 for the pets. Then my debit card was declined for the $70 room charge. She hadn't explained that the online booking also involved a $100 deposit hold, which would take a week to clear after checkout, not be released when I left. So I was facing $200 for one night in a double room. I hope someone teaches that employee better people skills. So rude.
