Camilla Inn & Suites

We were here for two weeks for work, and the stay was pleasant. Our room was cleaned every day and kept tidy. The staff were friendly, courteous, and efficient. We’ll definitely come back.

After the owner replied to my review, I want to clarify what happened. We checked in late in the evening, as we had told them we would, so there was time to at least clean the bedding and towels. The owner said the hurricane meant this was the last room and claimed we had been offered a change. We were never offered another room. And if it was the last one available, as the owner says, then there couldn't have been another room to move us to. Their response still doesn't address the room's condition. We evacuated here ahead of a major storm. Camilla was quiet and quaint, and the people were friendly. The location gets three stars because anywhere felt safer than home at that point. The place looked old, which would've been fine if it had been clean. The comforter had cigarette burns, the sheets had blue ink stains, and the towels were filthy, one with holes. It had been folded on top, so someone must have seen it, but apparently didn't think it was an issue. The ice bucket and the plastic bags inside it were dirty too. Half the bathroom light switch plate was missing, and the shower bar was broken. The cabinet around the mini fridge was broken and tilted. The door wouldn't shut unless I pushed the cabinet upright by hand. One lampshade was missing chunks, and another had plastic wrapped over it. We were thankful to have shelter during an emergency, but the quality was badly lacking. We ended up buying our own bedding and towels. Calling it an inn or hotel and charging people to sleep in that kind of filth is hard to accept. I would've liked to see what they called a suite.

I was working at a nearby job site, and this was the closest place to sleep. It wasn't luxurious, but it was comfortable enough for a night's rest and more or less clean.

Kris and Pam keep the Days Inn in Camilla, GA clean and fresh, and the rooms are comfortable. The bed was comfortable too, and the pillows and sheets smelled nice. My husband and I stay there when visiting relatives in Pelham, GA. There's coffee in the room, plus some in the office in the morning. We'd recommend it if you need a clean, safe place around Camilla.
