I was appalled when I walked into the room. It looked nothing like the website pictures, smelled disgusting, and was super small. This was by far the worst room I’ve ever rented, and I seriously doubt the jacuzzi was clean.

I called to book, then phoned again 20 minutes later to cancel after seeing online reviews about bugs. They told me no. I went there and they made me a key, and when I looked around there was bed bug shit all over under the bed. They said they’d refund me, but they never returned my $150.00 and charged me another $150.00. If the money isn’t back by Monday, I’ll be getting a lawyer and suing. DON’T STAY HERE!

I liked room 210 so much that I’d stay again, but the room I switched to on my second night was definitely more like a motel. It wasn’t clean, with stains on the bedspread, pillows, comforter, and shower curtain. It isn’t renovated, though the vintage look might appeal to some. It had the same amount of space and more mirrors, which I liked. The fireplace worked in this one, and the fridge didn’t leak. Both rooms had microwaves. Room 210’s fireplace didn’t work, and its mini fridge leaked badly enough that I used a towel. That room was remodeled, clean, comfortable, with updated lighting and a tub that looked freshly glazed. For a motel room, that’s a whole new bar. I think the upstairs rooms may all look like 210, but there are lots of regulars, so you may have to take whatever is available. I came alone as a woman and felt safer because the staff seemed mindful of that. They were nice, and I don’t know why some people say they’re rude. If I asked something, they answered. There were a few friendly guys I had to walk past, but I felt okay. There were no bugs in either room, upstairs or downstairs. The landscaping is really nice, and the location is okay, though there isn’t much nearby, so you’ll need to drive some distance for things or go into town. The rooms were very quiet, with almost no sound from the neighbors or outside. Both had nice shower heads and adequate water pressure. There was blood on the bathroom curtain, which was absolutely gross. Still, I slept, woke up, and left. If they fix those things, the motel is doable. I’d choose room 210 again.

We paid $160.00 a night for a jacuzzi suite, and it didn’t feel remotely worth it. The jacuzzi was a good size and worked, but the rest of the room was rough. A black garbage bag was taped up with blue painter’s tape as the “darkening curtain,” the floor felt greasy and slippery, and the door looked like it had been kicked in a couple of times. The bathroom was tiny, with a very low, small toilet and water almost up to the seat. The shower head was at chest height. The AC was loud enough that we couldn’t hear the TV, took half the night to cool the room, and had a lot of dust and dirt in and on it. The bed and pillows were horrible. The staff member barely spoke to us, didn’t say hello or ask how the stay was, and didn’t offer a receipt. I’m not sure how the reviews are so high. One star at best for our experience.
