The AC worked really well, keeping the room super cold day and night. I had no other issue besides room service repeatedly waking me while I was trying to rest. They knocked for towels, then came back asking for trash not long afterward. Today they woke me with several hard knocks for towels again. I wish they had a do not disturb sign. I could’ve called room service, but didn’t really want to. They also said their boss told them I was leaving that day and asked if I was leaving at 11. I said yes. If you like staff knocking on your door, it’s great service, but I just wanted to rest. The place is sketchy, but that’s how things look around here. I read the review from the woman who said six men gathered around her and warned women traveling alone about being catcalled. I’m a young woman who stayed two days. From what I saw, men working in the area stay here, so there are a lot of men checking in and out. I wasn’t harassed or catcalled at all. When I had to leave at night, men were outside talking on the phone or to each other. I think that warning was a bit exaggerated. The rooms look sketchy too, and this isn’t a luxury place. There was broken furniture, a bathroom light hanging down, and the smoke detector had no battery. My room hadn’t been cleaned well under the bed. The couch was broken, missing a leg, and the rolling chair was wobbly. Would I stay again? Maybe, 50-50. There are other places around, so I’d probably try somewhere else. The area has a lot of working men, especially at these hotels. If you feel you need a taser, pepper spray, or whatever makes you feel safe, I’d say go for it.

I checked in for one night on 11/12/24, and men catcalled me as I walked to my room. They hung around my door watching me. The room was dirty and sketchy as hell. Someone tried to open the door, then I realized the locks weren’t working. While I waited for the owner after calling the desk, two men broke in and ran out. The owner came twice to fix the door. Later I left to run an errand, and my key didn’t work, so I walked to the office. A group of six or more men gathered around me and tried to get me to go with them. I pulled out my taser and screamed. I ran into the office and asked the wife if she or her husband could walk me back. She checked the cameras and laughed. She seemed very annoyed by my request, but walked me back anyway. I don’t recommend this place to anyone, especially women. This is not safe for women.

We stopped at the first place we found off the interstate and wouldn’t recommend it. The bathroom was in bad shape, with rust in the tub and a towel rack that looked beaten up. The refrigerator was rusty, the sheets had rips, and the couch looked broken. There was even a staple sticking up from the floor. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Stay at your own risk.

Not impressed at all. The bedspread had burn marks, the bathroom hardware looked like a two year old had installed it, and a strip of paper was sticking up from the laminate floor. The loveseat smelled bad and looked like it had spent time on the side of the road.

The owners seem to be trying to turn the hotel around, but it’s happening slowly. It’s affordable and in okay shape, so keep in mind you get what you pay for. Reviews are helpful when choosing a hotel. I was disappointed that breakfast was offered when I booked, but there was no breakfast in reality, only coffee.
