The place was clean, and the location was good. Still, I wouldn’t book here again. We visited with family in winter 2025, and three basic things put me off. There was no coffee or even water. The building felt extremely dated, with fixes everywhere that made it seem held together by Band-Aids. And there was no way to call the office or reception. In an emergency, that feels like a serious gap: in many US states, if you call 911 from your cell and responders come, the hotel could hold you liable or even sue you. You’re supposed to contact the hotel first so they can arrange help.

The room was spotless, the price was reasonable, and the location worked perfectly for us. The owner or manager was especially kind. I’ll definitely come back.

The room reeked of mold and cigarettes, and there was mold across the ceiling and around the showerhead. I had trouble breathing through the night. When I called to ask for a different room because of the health concern, the front desk man cut me off and hung up, saying nothing was available. The sign showed vacancies, though, and when my husband called two minutes later pretending to be someone else, he was told a room was available. We arrived late and felt stuck staying. The bed had no mattress cover, and the coffee pot had no coffee or anything else in it. The man at the desk had also been extremely rude when we arrived. This was a horrible experience. I will never stay here again and would tell anyone looking, even for one night, to go elsewhere. It isn’t worth it.

The staff were warm and welcoming, and the pool area was pleasant. I only wish the pool stayed open a bit later. Our room was simple but clean, with a comfortable bed and cool, crisp sheets. It was quiet, too, with none of the mediocre bar bands some nearby hotels have. The location is fantastic, right across from a beautiful beach and just a short walk to shops and restaurants. For the price, I don’t think you’ll find better value in West Cape May.
