Pomaikai "Lucky" Farm Bed & Breakfast

We stayed two nights, and the owners were super nice and knowledgeable. They serve organic breakfast with a huge tray of fruit grown on their farm, and you can take a tour of the grounds that lasts two hours. It feels very private since I believe there are only three rooms to rent. There’s no TV in our room, but there is a shared fridge. There were lots of cats, chickens, mosquitoes, and harmless spiders. This isn’t a typical B&B. The room had only screens, and the rooster started up around 5 am. Stay here for an authentic Hawaiian experience, but don’t expect too much. Almost everyone says they love it, and we did too, but if you want a classy resort with all the trimmings, go elsewhere. It’s very cheap for this side of the island, with tons to do nearby. One of the Big Island’s unique gems.
