You can walk to the beach in a couple of minutes, just across the 101, and the area is very accessible. The facility was clean and service was good. Rooms are a little dated, but I thought the price was fair. There’s a great ocean view and a nice range of amenities, including a workout center, several pools and spas, volleyball, pickleball and tennis courts, plus outdoor fireplaces. They’re clearly trying. There’s a Carlsbad waste water treatment center a few hundred yards away, and if the wind blows toward the sea, you’ll notice it. Train tracks are just behind the property, and trains run regularly, so light sleepers should bring some white noise.

The pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and fire pits were highlights for me. If you don’t mind airplanes, it can be a peaceful place to unwind. The location is great, but the room itself needed more attention. The suite’s rugs had a lot of scuffs and stains, and it wasn’t as clean as I expected. The decorations were dated and didn’t fit the hotel’s beach theme, which hurt the atmosphere. For a family of four, popcorn and a single chocolate felt like a pretty skimpy welcome gift. A more thoughtful welcome would help the guest experience. The place has potential to be wonderful with some updates and better attention to detail.

I’m here for a birthday, and the staff have been so friendly and helpful in making the occasion feel special. The resort has stayed spotless during my visit, and my room is beautiful with a fantastic view. The location is hard to beat. I’ve already told several people to stay here, and I hope to come back.

We had a wonderful time with my daughters and my four grandsons, all six or younger. The kids loved the heated pool, and the beach is right across the street. The condo had everything we needed. Dexter was kind and fun, and made the activities awesome. The woman at the front desk was great too. I’d highly recommend this resort for families with young kids.

The view is great and the staff are very nice. Room service has to be arranged two days ahead, and the rooms could use updates. They don’t even offer a continental breakfast.
