Pelican Cove Inn

We had a large room that was spacious and comfortable at this nice little inn, tucked off the beaten path but still not far from much. The lobby is quaint, with coffee, tea, and snacks, plus a place to sit and enjoy them. We're planning to stay again on our next visit!

It's somewhere in the middle as an affordable choice near the beach and village, not the Scandia but not the Springhill either. The rooms are fairly clean, though dated, and there are obvious missing things like a bathroom hand towel ring and a second nightstand for a king bed. There's no front desk staff, and they don't respond to texts. Grab extra toilet paper from the supply room if they leave some there.

The room had no airflow or AC and felt really stuffy. It was super outdated, and when we checked in it reeked of Lysol. I saw the can sitting outside the room. There wasn't a parking space open when we arrived, and it was impossible to reach anyone. The old-school blanket seemed gross, and I wondered whether it was even changed between guests. My friend had a separate reservation, but their room smelled like sewage and they had to go somewhere else. I would never stay here again. Do NOT stay here.

We appreciated all the small touches at Pelican Cove Inn, from the comfortable beds and peaceful atmosphere to the personal hospitality that's hard to find these days. Staff were responsive and communicative. The lobby had complimentary coffee and snacks, and there were free chairs and umbrellas to take to the beach. Our room was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, more like a home than a hotel. The location is beautiful and peaceful, just steps from the beach and ocean, with charming coastal vibes all around. Everything was beautifully presented, a lovely way to start the day. We can't wait to come back. Pelican Cove Inn is a gem on the coast! 🌊💙
