The room itself was comfortable and clean, with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. That was about where the good parts ended. We had no TV service for two days. There was a snowstorm on the first day, but the next day was sunny, so I don't know what caused the outage. We chose the hotel partly because of the breakfast reviews, and that was a letdown. There was no waffle mix, just oversalted sausage and hard bread, with no fruit and only orange juice in a plastic container. It was the worst continental breakfast I've had. The woman working in the kitchen looked frustrated, which made the meal feel worse. I won't stay here again; there are plenty of other places to pick from.

We spent three days here over Thanksgiving while visiting Guadalupe Mountains National Park and Carlsbad Caverns National Park. There are quite a few places to eat nearby, and the employees were helpful and friendly throughout our visit. Our room was clean and spacious, with nice décor, and we really liked the breakfast buffet. It had a huge range of delicious options. We enjoyed the stay and would gladly recommend this place.

Monica at the front desk was especially friendly and helpful. The hotel and room were nice, the bed was comfortable, and everything was very clean. I didn't use the pool, though it looked nice.

A 5 a.m. breakfast start would really help. A lot of us working in the oil fields leave before breakfast opens at 6.
