Comfort Inn Carmel By The Sea

We booked on a whim at the last minute and got the last room, but it turned out to be a great choice. The general manager was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean and modern. The hotel is on Ocean Ave in the main shopping area, toward its east side, and about a 15-minute walk from the beach. Nights were very quiet, except for a little shower noise from next door. Breakfast was included, with the basics: eggs, sausage, a waffle maker, coffee and tea, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, bagels, bread, cream cheese, and water. There wasn’t as much variety as at some other places I’ve stayed, but it was fine. The lot is small; we found a space on the street that looked like it belonged to the hotel, and we got lucky with parking. I’d book here again.

The bed was super comfortable, and the room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was standard Comfort Inn fare, but it doesn’t open until 8:00, which isn’t great if you’re up early. I just wish the outdoor seating area had a fire pit.

The location is great, near lots of shops and restaurants, and the bed was comfortable. The room and breakfast were only okay. Next time I’ll spend more somewhere else.

I needed a few things I’d forgotten, and the front desk was very helpful. The room was clean and modern, with the amenities I needed, including a fridge, coffee, and working AC. There’s a small free breakfast in the lobby in the morning, and check-in and check-out were easy. I booked this for a last-minute one-night getaway and had a fabulous stay. I’d definitely return.
