The room was clean and roomy enough for 1-3 people, with a small kitchen. Parking is free and there’s plenty around the hotel, as well as some at the hotel itself. Downtown is close, about a 5-8 minute walk, which I really liked. It’s a simple hotel, and for the price, you get what you pay for. Breakfast is very basic and delivered to the room.

We walked everywhere during our Carmel vacation, even to the beach, though we had a car. The hotel is up a hill, so be ready for that. I enjoyed the extra exercise after all the good food. Staff were friendly and responsive, and the breakfast basket each morning was just enough to keep us full until lunch. It was the perfect place to stay, and we’d definitely come back.

We had a great girls’ weekend. The included happy hour with cheese and local wine was fantastic, and the staff were friendly. Our room had an ocean view, and the price was hard to beat. The hot tub and fire pits were lovely too, so leave time to soak and sit by the fire. The continental picnic basket breakfast was a nice touch. Better amenities than hotels in Carmel at a similar price. We’ll stay again.

It was a busy Saturday and we booked the day of, with few places left to stay. We were so glad horizon inn had a room. Rudy greeted us warmly and checked us in efficiently, and they were serving cheese and wine in the lobby when we arrived. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. Dinner at 7D downtown was an easy, beautiful 8-minute walk. We’ll be back.

The location made it easy to walk to the beach or around Carmel. Our room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the fireplace added a lovely ambiance.
