Comfort Inn & Suites Carneys Point - Pennsville

The worn interior and strange room decor reminded me of an Asian horror film. It's right beside a busy highway, so you hear truck brakes roaring throughout the rooms, and there's a large cellphone tower immediately next door. I booked from the turnpike plaza, then had to drive more than 10 miles to an exit and 14 miles back down the turnpike. That added 30 minutes. I wouldn't come back.

What a dump. The place was dirty and moldy, and the front desk lady had her kids watching TV in the fitness center while I tried to work out. The lemon water container looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, and it made me sick.

I care about comfort and cleanliness more than modern amenities, and this place gave me both for a fair price. My room was spotless, and the staff were professional, mature, and personable. I got a room with a jacuzzi and spent the whole night relaxing. It's a perfect little getaway, tucked at the end of a small road off the NJ Turnpike, and it's QUIET!!! I didn't see any cellphones around, though that doesn't mean the staff don't have them. Love it. Thank you Carney's Point!!

The tub and shower were pitted and peeling, and the bathroom ceiling leaked, so water dripped on me while I was on the toilet. Bright LED floodlights outside the room made it look like daytime at 2am, as you can see in the photo. They told me all the rooms were like that.
