Rainbow Inn & Cottages

The hot water was excellent, but I won’t stay here again. The bathroom sink leaked, and the security lights went off at 3 am, leaving my car in a dark lot. The office was never open, so I had to cross the street to another motel for help. There was no housekeeping during my multiple day stay. I expected fresh towels, emptied trash, and more toilet paper and tissues, but had to get toilet paper across the street and carry my trash to the receptacle myself. They did leave an envelope in the room for a housekeeping tip, though.

Rafael, the manager, was the standout. He’s a man of his word and quick to deal with any problems. There was WiFi in every room, and getting to the room was easy. It was close to the project I was working on, and I’d stay again if the need came up.

Both places are handy for gas stations, convenience stores, activities, the highway, and places to eat, and they were peaceful even during the busier parts of the day. The prices are reasonable for the area and what you get. This was my first time at Rainbow Inn; I usually stay at Carrizozo Inn across the street, under the same management and owner. I don’t think the rooms here are quite as nice as the ones across the street, but they’re still comfortable and nice. The service at both places is friendly and great. I’ll probably keep going to Carrizozo Inn more often, but I’d be just as happy at Rainbow Inn.

The room was very clean, and everyone working there was really nice. We had a large, comfortable king bed, the TV worked well and had a good selection of channels, and the shower was nice. It was a great stay, and I’d definitely come back.
