The Island Suite at KW Vacation

The main office staff were pleasant and helpful, and I enjoyed relaxing by the pool and on the balconies. The property's layout is interesting, and the place feels different in a very cool way.

The garden was the first thing that caught our eye, lush, peaceful, and charming, like a little oasis where time slowed down. The house was spotless and full of character, with a warm, authentic sense of history alongside modern comforts. We only spent one night, but felt at ease throughout. The location was ideal, with sights, restaurants, and places to wander all just a short walk away. It left a lasting impression, and we'd love to return for longer and enjoy more of the peaceful atmosphere.

The gardens are beautiful, the pool is pleasantly warm, and we loved being in the old town close to the main sights. The young man at reception was very nice for the first two days, but the older man was rude. When I complained on the third day about not sleeping, he laughed in my face. The upstairs floors are very old and squeaky, so you hear neighbors overhead, sometimes all night, especially with people coming to party in KW. I'm a light sleeper, and all three nights were torture. After the second night I asked the office to move us to the third floor, but they said our room type wasn't available there. Unless you're on the top floor, expect to hear people upstairs. I wanted to rate the property higher, but two stars is the most I can give. With all that in mind, I'd choose somewhere else in the old town, on one floor or in a newer building.

The cleaning staff were brilliant, making up the room and replacing towels every day, and the owners were friendly and personable. We liked the pool for relaxing, and the room stayed very cool throughout our visit thanks to the air conditioning, which we really needed. It's well fitted out and well located for staying in Key West. We've stayed elsewhere in Key West, but would come back here and would happily recommend it.
