The breakfast was a standard continental spread with a waffle iron, cut-up fruit, and good tea. Staff were very friendly and did what they could to help. They listened when we raised issues and compensated us for the delay before we could get into our room, which I appreciated. I just wouldn't expect the level of professionalism you'd find at a higher-end hotel. We were glad to be near the parts of Key West we wanted to see on a short trip, but it's best to set expectations. Even with the high room price, this isn't a luxury hotel; Key West itself costs more than the mainland. Our suite had uneven floors and gaps in the shower grout. Street noise came right through the front-room windows and doors, making it tough for the person on the sofa bed. The Nespresso machine was a nice extra, but real creamer instead of powder and proper cups instead of disposables would have been better. The deodorant bar soaps at the sink felt like the same sort of compromise.

We stayed in the Gumbo Limbo Cottage, a detached unit at the front of The Paradise Inn. It had two private porches, a living room separate from the bedroom, a full bathroom, and a separate vanity and sink area. The walk-in shower was very large. At first the cottage seemed clean, but walking around left the bottoms of our feet literally black. The floors were filthy, and the baseboards and corners were dirty too. It didn't seem the floors were being cleaned regularly, if at all. The small espresso maker barely worked, and when it did, the coffee from its tiny pods was awful. The resort itself felt average. Front desk staff often seemed absent and weren't especially friendly. The $40 daily resort fee felt ridiculous: there were no benefits to it, and you still had to pay to rent bikes. The pool area was pleasant, with around 8-10 loungers and umbrellas, but there was no water or other refreshment for guests, even in the lobby. Early risers wanting coffee before 7 AM have to walk somewhere for it. Happy hour meant a few wine choices, mixed nuts, cheese, and crackers. Breakfast was a borderline-average continental spread, nothing special compared with a Days Inn. The location is good if you want to be near Duval without the foot traffic, but the street has a lot of vehicle noise. The Southernmost area is an easy walk. Mallory Square, Ft. Zack, and the marina are at least 15-20 minutes away on foot one way. We've been visiting Key West for about 20 years. Only two places we've stayed made us decide not to return, and this is one of them. It's nothing special, just average and close to below average.

The Paradise Inn was a great fit for my fiance and me, and we’ll definitely come back. We had a king full premium suite by the pool. It was quiet and very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the suite looked beautiful. We also liked the adults-only setting and how private it felt. Breakfast each day had bagels, toast, fruit, cereal, fresh waffles, and other basics. The daily wine and cheese hour was enjoyable, and staff were warm and welcoming. The hotel is a block from Duval Street, so we could walk to everything without staying amid its noise and bustle. The #14 Duval Loop bus stop is just steps from the entrance, an easy, inexpensive option. We drove from Miami and parked on the grounds, but didn't use the rental car during our stay. It's a charming place with a relaxing feel and quick access to the fun around Key West.

Lokesh made a lasting impression on us. He greeted us with real kindness, helped quickly, and went out of his way to arrange a golf cart rental for four hours outside the usual rental hours. Then he even drove us back to our hotel shuttle pickup, which we hadn't expected and really appreciated. That sort of service is rare. Paradise Inn was spotless and very well kept, in a spot close to everything but still peaceful. We also appreciated the Starbucks coffee machine and the complimentary water and tea. We had a wonderful visit to Paradise Inn in Kev West and would absolutely recommend staying here.

Check-in and checkout were easy, and the staff were so friendly. The room was cozy and super clean, and we loved the refreshing pool and the very private hot tub. It's a cute little hidden gem, close to everything. I can definitely see us coming back.
