I unfortunately agree with the people who didn't enjoy their experience. The manager was extremely rude, and my mom, who witnessed things, said he was rude to other guests too. She was told card payments weren't accepted because of the problem with her card, so she paid cash and wasn't given a receipt until checkout. We'd gotten receipts immediately for earlier payments. The front desk clerk also denied us service later, saying we'd trashed the room and they had to throw out the sheets, though we'd brought our own blankets, towels, and pillows, never used theirs, and threw our trash away ourselves. Housekeeping had complimented the room spray we'd used and asked where we got it. This followed a drawn-out problem the day before: my husband had paid for a second night, but the card stopped working after 11am. I went to the office around 2:30pm while my kids waited. The older gentleman said my husband had to authorize me, despite my being there at check-in and our having said the day before it was four people in that room, with a service dog for my kids with ASD. He yelled for me to call my husband. I showed my ID and explained I understood the safety concern, but my kids had therapy and needed the computer for therapy and my daughter's online school assignments. I asked for a supervisor and offered our marriage license, my husband's ID, recent pictures, and texts. The clerk refused a supervisor, activated the card, but it still didn't work at the door. I went down the stairs three times before it finally worked, apologizing and thanking him each time. The next morning, he told my husband I had made a big show, yelled, and thrown things, and that he wanted to deny our stay. When I called the front desk, he denied saying that and told me we could stay as long as housekeeping serviced the room. I said I could pay, and he said yes, but my husband had asked about checking out early so he could see if a room was available.
