Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Cary Crossroads

The desk service was top notch, just what you’d expect from Bonvoy. We had a great wedding weekend stay and would come back when visiting Cary. The patio with its fire pit was wonderful, and the hallway decor was beautiful. It was a quiet spot with no road noise, and we never heard the apartment construction across the street. The high ceilings may have helped, since we couldn’t hear guests above or beside us either. Our room was very clean, and the hotel was convenient to food and shopping. Elevators were quick, with waits of a minute at most and usually 15 seconds or less.

The rooms were very nice, but as a Bonvoy member I was disappointed with Marriott’s service. The price I saw when reserving wasn’t the price charged. The front desk couldn’t help and sent me to corporate. The woman I spoke to there was rude and unhelpful, and simply said the rate had never changed, even though the two bookend days were over $200 a night and I never saw that rate while booking. It was upsetting, especially since I was there with my daughter for early morning college visits. At $200-plus a night, it was even more frustrating that the hotel didn’t offer a free breakfast.

The renovated rooms were clean, and I loved the stay. There’s a great gym and a really nice bar and seating area for breakfast and dinner. I’ll stay here again.
