Se-Tay Motel

This place might suit you if you can put up with thieves, drug addicts, transgender sex workers, squatters, and bugs. I'd pay an extra $10 for a better motel. The rates the manager comes up with seem ridiculous, and if you can't pay them, he will proposition you for sex.

The rooms need paint, there’s no heater, the plugs don’t work, and there’s no hot water for shaving. They even gave my room to a homeless woman. I could keep going. Don’t stay here, even if it’s free. You’ve been warned.

I pay $300 a week for the studio, and electricity and water are included. I also get free cable, a queen bed, a table with two chairs, a small microwave and fridge, and a cabinet with three big drawers. The bathroom needs a much better cleanup, which I’ve been doing myself, and some parts still need fixing. I’m staying because it’s very close to my job, at least until I find somewhere better or save enough to move out.

There were people knocking on the door at night looking to buy drugs, and the room itself was filthy. The carpet was caked with dirt, the pillows and sheets were dirty, and the air conditioning unit had no cover. There was no hot water either. This place is nasty.
