Holiday Inn Express Casper I-25

The room itself was clean, decent, and looked new, though I thought it cost a bit too much. Breakfast was the real letdown. It didn’t start until 7 AM, which doesn’t work well for people traveling for business, and the food was disappointing: microwaved cheese omelets, potatoes, and sausage. The egg mixture with American or Velveeta cheese didn’t seem like a real omelet, and the pork sausage patties didn’t look much like pork sausage. I wouldn’t order or pay for food like that at a restaurant.

The staff were friendly, and breakfast was excellent. The woman making the food was especially helpful and welcoming. But the pool wasn’t available, and the carpets in both the room and hallway were stained. Worst of all, the bar beside the hotel made such a heavy thumping noise that our windows vibrated, even though we were at the back of the fourth floor.

Alex and Tabby made us feel welcome and did everything they could for us. The place was comfortable, too. Just a heads-up, the tap water tastes like soap. That seems to be a local thing, not a problem with the hotel, but I figured I’d mention it.

I was in a finished room during the remodel and liked it a lot. The work seemed over 90% done, though it made things a little chaotic. The pool and hot tub have apparently been closed for over a year, with no plans to reopen soon. I liked the good shower pressure, the comfortable bed, and how easy it was to reach from the freeway. My room faced the freeway, but I couldn’t hear it. The front desk staff and manager were very friendly, though the breakfast attendant wasn’t. They ran out of eggs, biscuits, sausage, and cinnamon rolls despite only two tables being occupied. I’d still stay here again.
