The room smelled bad, and the TV reception was awful. There was used soap in the shower, the inside of the shower curtain had mold, and the walls were really dirty. The beds didn’t even have fitted sheets. It was awful, the worst place I’ve stayed. I’d rather sleep in my car and would never come back. I don’t think these rooms get cleaned.

The rates are a steal, and it’s a good way to stretch vacation dollars if you just need a place to sleep and shower. We’ve stayed at the Valu Inn on our Cedar City trips for the past four years and will be back. It’s an older, family-owned building with WiFi; the carpet is fairly new and repairs have been made. Our rooms and bathrooms have been clean, as have the sheets and towels, though those are a bit thin. When we had trouble connecting to WiFi, the friendly, caring person at the front desk checked it, made an adjustment, and came back to see if that fixed it. It did.

There were cracks in the ceiling and walls, plus mold in the bathtub. We stayed for two days and found bugs in both rooms. I specifically asked over the phone for a clean room because I’m pregnant, but the first room had bed bugs. They moved us, and the next room still had bugs. I got lots of bites. Disgusting, I’d rather sleep on the street.

We couldn’t sleep and got bitten all night because there were bed bugs. The room smelled, the beds were poor quality, and ants were all over the bathroom. The tub wouldn’t drain, and there was no WiFi. Cracks ran along the walls and ceiling, covered up with mirrors and pictures. The door only locked when you pushed the button on the handle from inside, so anyone could break in pretty easily. It’s disgusting and not worth the “bargain price.” Spend a little more somewhere else; it’ll be worth it.

My son had a bath, then walked across the floor and left dirty footprints on a clean white towel. The room was filthy, and the sheets smelled like body odor. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a bum. I paid $110.00 for two nights, the worst money I’ve spent, and they wouldn’t let me out of my contract.
