Comfort Suites Clayton - Garner

Tre was a huge help, and the early check-in went smoothly. I’m traveling for work and doing overnight shifts on this project, so arriving in town at 6 a.m. and finding a room can be surprisingly difficult. The room was nice, the bed comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows. Thanks for making it so easy.

The King suite and its in-room hot tub were really nice, and the room was clean. My two complaints: the bed was very hard, and even with the A/c running in February, the room wouldn’t cool down. We’re in North Carolina.

Tray was AMAZING when I checked out. At check-in, I noticed there was no phone in my room and the TV hadn’t been programmed. The young woman on duty was very nice, but I had to pack everything back up and move to another room.

The staff were phenomenal and really helpful, and the room had plenty of space. The fridge and microwave came in handy, and we had enough towels for our family of five. Breakfast was decent and sufficient, though I wouldn’t call it a hot breakfast. The shower got hot, but the shampoo and soap dispensers were empty. The toilet shifted every time someone sat on it, and the dividing wall moved too. I saw a wooden shim underneath, so I’m not sure if that was meant to happen. There were also cracks and peeling on the ceiling where it looked like a leak had been repaired poorly. The elevator was loud enough to make me uneasy, although it worked fine. I first noticed the hotel didn’t have a smell when we walked in, which is usually my first check. The rooms are very spacious. I’d brought an air mattress in case there wasn’t a couch, but there was one, so it worked out. I wouldn’t pay over $100 a night again, but now I know.
