Comfort Inn & Suites Cedar Rapids CID Eastern Iowa Airport

The rooms and facilities were wonderful, but our large family was given rooms on completely different floors instead of adjoining ones. It was a hassle carrying the kids and all our supplies around.

We were charged an extra $260, and the younger woman at the desk seemed completely clueless even though she had charged my card. She put no effort into resolving it and said she didn’t know what to do. I booked through Priceline, but she wouldn’t give me a printout. The manager wasn’t around until Tuesday, though this happened on Sunday, and when I waited days for the manager, nobody was at the front desk. They also charge extra for certain online bookings. I won’t stay here again. I’ll go next door, and they’ve lost a longtime customer.

We stayed for an Iowa football game. It was convenient for getting to Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, though there isn’t anything to do or eat there. The hotel also worked well for an early morning flight. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the rooms were clean.

My daughter’s flight was diverted to Cedar Rapids last week, leaving her stranded until the next day. After the hotel next door treated her poorly, I booked her a room at Comfort Inn and called about the airport shuttle. The very nice man I spoke with assured me he’d pick her up himself. That made me feel much better about her safety from 300 miles away, and the whole process was easy and reassuring. Thank you to the man working Monday 8/18 at 9 p.m. She said you were just as kind to her in person.
