Travelodge by Wyndham Chadron

No breakfast or coffee, and the microwave was broken, so I had to eat my supper cold. The water was barely lukewarm, nowhere near body temperature, which made showering unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The staff were incredibly nice, but the hotel was rough, like Jenny Gump rough. Honestly, I'd rather have slept in my car or a tent. It felt unsafe: the side-door key reader was broken off, so anyone could walk in. The toilet looked haunted, and the duvet cover was covered in stains, even worse than the sheets. Gross. The photos made the place look fresh, but I didn't find any bugs. It took about ten minutes for hot water to come through, and every time I went out I had to get my key reprogrammed, which was a pain from the second floor. The window screens need replacing, and the tech needs an update. I never got onto the wifi.

The staff made this stay special. They were so welcoming, helped with local recommendations, and even remembered my name each morning. Check-in was smooth, and they went out of their way to make me comfortable. The room and everything else was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. This is hands down the best hotel in Chadron, and I'll definitely be back.

The place has had a lot of work done, and it was a huge improvement from our first stay. We were in town for Fur Trade Days and a class reunion, and the guy at the front desk worked hard to help us. He got us what we needed quickly and made sure extra towels were waiting when we returned. We appreciated how well he looked after us. The price was good, too.
