Suites on Coming

The apartment was wonderfully decorated, with spacious rooms and everything we needed. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in, and check-in and checkout were simple. There’s a great Piazza area for sitting, relaxing, and people-watching. It’s an easy walk to King Street’s bars and shopping, and a great location for enjoying the city. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We could walk easily to restaurants, bars, and, naturally, ice cream. The neighborhood feels like it’s already moved beyond “up and coming,” with Five Loaves across the street and Hominy Grill and The Granary nearby. We rented two units, D and the little cottage F. Both were cute and thoughtfully equipped, and the small kitchenettes came in handy. Having any parking at all was a real plus in the city.

We arrived in 100-degree heat for the cottage stay we’d booked June 22-24 for my daughter’s 21st birthday. Her sister had flown in from another state for the celebration, but our entry code didn’t work. The manager told me the cottage had been double-booked, so we had nowhere to stay and spent over an hour on the phone trying to find another place. The property manager never apologized. I’d also paid for two nights of parking.

The bed was poor, and the bathroom was tiny and uncomfortable, with no door. There was a lot of road and outside noise, and customer service was absent. The location wasn’t great either. At least the room was clean and redecorated, and it had a good TV and central air.
