Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast Curio Hilton

Dakota at the front desk was kind and very helpful, and Darcy was so sweet at breakfast in Half cracked tiki shack. We came from Orlando for our anniversary, and the people and the setting made it feel special. The hotel has lovely views and plenty of space to relax. The pools are gorgeous and roomy, and there are lots of food choices. Along with the restaurants, there’s a food hall with more options and a great vibe. We had an amazing time.

Even though we’re locals, the stay felt like a tropical vacation. We came for the Valentine’s Day events and had a wonderful time. The sunset views were beautiful, the rooms were very nice, and we enjoyed the restaurants. There are two pools: the adults only rooftop one had fun live music, while the huge resort pool had sunny and shady spots and room for all ages. Just be ready to spend money and wait for service. We didn’t mind the cost for such a nice experience, but we were surprised how long simple orders took.

Staffing seems to be the main issue. The food court has too many restaurants closed, which really cuts down the choices, apparently because they can’t open without enough staff. Poolside service could improve if the bartender arrived on time to run the bar. The wait staff, though, were great. The resort itself has been great so far, and I’d definitely come again.

The resort is beautiful, and Maury’s is amazing, but service apart from Jordan and Doug is why I won’t return. My wife and I came for a weekend Valentine’s getaway, and things began well: valet service was great and the room was good. Jordan at the main bar and Doug at the pool bar were both amazing. At the rooftop bar, though, the servers were terrible. I couldn’t get anything, and even after asking several times, our server wouldn’t take our order. On the second day we reserved chairs, hoping that would help, but it didn’t. The hot tub was cold. When we mentioned it to a server, they said, “Is it not on? Oh, it must be broken then. They don’t ever fix anything around here.” The concierge number for Hilton Diamond members was useless because nobody responded. I was surprised a resort at this level had no clothes steamers or laundry service. Housekeeping still knocks and tries to come in to clean when there’s a DND sign on the door. At $600 a night, I’ve had better service at a $200-a-night hotel.
