JW Marriott Charlotte

The valet team welcomed us as soon as we arrived, and their service was amazing. The staff we met in person were helpful, even though there isn’t a traditional concierge. We had a lovely quick getaway with a friend, and the location made it easy to enjoy the food and entertainment just steps away. My first phone calls to the hotel felt neither welcoming nor friendly. Since calls are often a guest’s first impression, a warmer tone would help set up the great experience that followed. It was a lovely stay and a perfect place to reconnect.

The spa was relaxing, room service was amazing, and the staff were focused and on point. This beautiful property is right downtown, across from the convention center. I checked in just after midnight, and though they honored my reservation, they’d run out of king rooms. The staff sorted it out, upgraded me to a junior suite the next day, and added some bonus Bonvoy points. I only wish it had been warmer for the rooftop pool.

Caroline’s Oyster Bar has a great atmosphere, but the Rockefeller oysters were small and underwhelming. I’d skip those next time. The rooms and views were excellent, and service at the Executive Lounge was outstanding and welcoming. JW Marriott Charlotte was a beautiful hotel and a very solid stay.

Our room was spotless, the food was excellent, and every interaction made the stay feel like home. At Dean’s, the gentleman at the counter was kind, attentive to allergies, and gave us helpful recommendations. The front desk agents were friendly and knowledgeable, and check-in was seamless. They upgraded me and thanked me for being a Titanium Elite. From arrival, the JW Marriott Charlotte felt warm and welcoming. The valet took our bags and held the door even though we hadn’t parked with them, which made me feel like a VIP right away. I highly recommend it, 1000/10.
