Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel by IHG

The gym could use more machines, but everything else was great. What really made this hotel feel luxurious was the staff. Every person I encountered was kind and helpful, more so than at other hotels I stay in. I can't say whether that's a Kimpton thing or just this location, but everyone here deserves recognition. I never felt anything less than valued as a guest.

The rooms were genuinely clean and spacious, and everyone on staff was polite and helpful. The on-site food was delicious, and the hotel is right in the heart of Charlotte, within walking distance of everything. We only booked at the last minute because our original place was horrible, but Jae welcomed us so warmly and was polite, accommodating, and amazing. Jae even had a great Storm X-men pin. We got a fantastic room on the 18th floor, with a view that gave us ideas.

We were in town for a family event and picked the Kimpton because of its location. The staff were wonderful, and getting us checked in early helped a lot. Room 720 had a fantastic shower, and it was dark and quiet enough to sleep each night, which we really appreciated after long days. The location is hard to beat. Thanks to everyone there for being so friendly and professional.

I've enjoyed staying at your Charlotte property before, and the staff have always been welcoming and excellent. The rooftop is amazing too, which is why I was excited to bring friends visiting from out of town. On my first visit I noticed many of the best tables were already reserved, limiting how much I could enjoy the rooftop. More recently, after we reserved a table, we were told we'd need to leave after two hours because the next guests had booked it. We were still ordering food and drinks and hoped to stay, so being asked to move on was uncomfortable and embarrassing while I was hosting visitors. It would help to set aside some tables for hotel guests and others for outside reservations. That might let people staying at the hotel enjoy the amenities without feeling rushed, while still making room for outside patrons. As a business owner, I understand the need to balance operations and guest satisfaction. A few small changes could make a real difference.
