The staff were polite, and I had no trouble with them. My first room key didn’t work, so they gave me another room, where the heat was broken. I tried not to let that bother me since I only had a few hours before my morning flight. But when I woke up and brushed my teeth, there were two roaches in the tub. I grabbed my things and left as fast as I could. Now I’m recovering from a terrible cold after sleeping in such a cold room.

The second room had no visible bugs when we checked it, so I stayed because I was exhausted. In the morning, I got ready quickly and saw another small roach in the bathroom and mold on the walls. The whole building was extremely dilapidated. The front desk had kindly honored my request for another room, and the nice girl walked us there, just across the hall from the first one. This massive place felt like a small city, yet we never saw another person, and the only available room was right across the hallway. The first room smelled like a goat pen. Its AC unit had been pulled apart, the lamp didn’t work and looked moldy, and when I picked up the phone to call the desk, it was dead. Then a roach came out from under it, so I dropped the phone, grabbed my bags, and went downstairs. The front desk woman had been kind and accommodating when we checked in, and this review isn’t about the three staff members I saw. The awful state of the place is what made it an absolute nightmare. I can’t believe it’s still operating as a hotel, and I have a lot of questions about what it’s actually used for. Avoid this place.

The hotel was in no shape to host guests. My check-in took two hours because the AC wasn’t working in six rooms before they finally gave me one. The manager left the evening clerk to handle it alone, even though the rooms weren’t fit to stay in. My room had roaches, mold, stains, no hot water, a broken TV and outlets, a shower that wouldn’t drain, and a key card that didn’t work. There was a foul odor, and the stairwells smelled like people were using them as bathrooms. The area outside felt even less inviting, and I wouldn’t walk around there at night, especially by myself. The staff weren’t willing to help with anything. If you can drive another 20 minutes, do that. This place should be condemned.

The elevators weren’t working, so we had to take the stairs, and there were cockroaches all over the room. They don’t clean rooms every day, either. We were told they were short-staffed and needed two or three days before they could clean ours. In the bathroom, the lighting was dim and there was no hot water. When we complained, they told us to leave the tap running for 15 minutes, but it took at least 30 minutes to get hot water. So much for the hotel’s eco-friendly claims. The room itself smelled strongly of damp and mold, with an unbearable amount of dust on the curtains. When we arrived, our key didn’t work and we were moved to a different room. That part was somewhat acceptable. This place should close for maintenance and renovations. Please read the reviews before booking, and don’t come here at the expense of your physical and mental health.
