SpringHill Suites Charlotte Ballantyne

The rest was good, and I appreciate your response. Just be aware the room has no soundproofing. Even a simple noise from outside can be heard while you're trying to sleep.

The shower room handle was hanging on by one screw. The toilet was clogged, but when I called, they said nobody was there to help. I asked if I could get a plunger, only to be told they'd lent one out and it hadn't been returned. When I called for extra towels, they told me I had to come get them from the front desk. I mentioned all of this at checkout and was told, “sorry you feel this way.” I'll never stay here again, and I'm seriously questioning whether I'll ever stay at a Marriott-owned hotel. They need serious customer service training. The only reason this gets one star is that there's no option for a negative rating.

It's cheap compared with other places, but the rooms are dated and need renovating. Service is okay, nothing special. They don't even give you a water bottle unless you ask now. If you're staying a while, breakfast is pretty much the same every day.

Housekeeping doesn't come every night. I called and was told they come every other night. The rooms are super small, and I wouldn't recommend this place. The toilet is broken and patched with silicone. Its sliding door has no lock, so you can't lock it while using the toilet. The shower is in a separate area right next to it, and that door also has no lock. The mini fridge is so small it leaves an 8-inch gap in the wooden cabinet.
