The house has no televisions, which made it feel like a place for reflection and peace. It runs on solar, composts, recycles, and doesn't use paper towels. Wi-Fi is available if you need to stay connected. We wished we'd had longer to talk with Raven&Flame. Even the short time we spent together was meaningful, and we'll stay again when we're back in C'ville. We loved the peaceful, comfortable setting, surrounded by plants and art. The living area was beautiful, with board games and books about the area and state. There were three quaint bedrooms, including Piedmont and Tidewater; I don't remember the third room's name, since we didn't use it. Each had a queen bed, closet, dresser, and long mirror. The bedrooms were comfortable, though the bathroom was small. It had all the amenities and great water pressure. There's also a screened porch and a big backyard with a firepit. The kitchen was fully stocked for DIY dining: local eggs, jam, fresh fruit, bread, and every kind of coffee, even espresso. The beds and towels were comfortable.

A great stay for the value, with friendly owners, a comfortable bed, and a quiet neighborhood. They don't cook breakfast, but provide all-organic options to prepare yourself. There are also four or five different ways to make coffee. I really liked the deck and all the plants inside. 🪴

It's in a quiet residential neighborhood, with city parks close by and easy access to downtown by car. The bedrooms are small but cozy, with great beds and quality, well-maintained furnishings. Guests can use the full kitchen 24/7, and it's well stocked, including several coffee options.

Everything was very clean, and I especially liked having a full kitchen and screened-in porch. The hosts live in the basement and were available when needed without being intrusive. They explained that they wouldn't enter during my stay, and the room door locked with a key. It's close enough to downtown and an easy drive to the national park. I'd definitely stay again.
