I seriously considered driving the hour home at midnight. That’s how bad this stay was. I’ll never come back or recommend it, and I wish I’d gotten a refund for the money wasted. The room was as bad as the hallways. There was hair all over the bathroom, stains on both pillowcases, and a yellow bed with stains everywhere. The sheets had been put on backwards. The halls were horrendous, with stained carpet and even stained walls, and I felt gross walking through them. The advertised continental breakfast was a joke: four kinds of granola bars, warm orange juice, and awful coffee with no creamer. There were homeless people walking around the lot and hallways, too. It really seemed like nobody cared about this hotel. Do yourself a favor and drive 20 minutes to the next town.

The bed was clean and soft, and the room itself was fine, but don’t expect much else. Breakfast was listed as an amenity, yet there wasn’t any. While packing, I saw a bug crawl behind the mirror, and found a two-liter bottle of Coke from the previous guest in the fridge.

The front desk staff member seemed to be handling almost everything on his own at the time, and was still friendly and did a good job. He noticed I’d left my vehicle lights on. A friend of his happened to be there and helped jump-start my car after it died. Thanks for the room and the service. For the price, the hotel/motel was about what you’d expect. The bed I had was actually better than the ones at the Hilton and Hyatt.

Wow, this is the worst place I’ve seen so far. The awful stink is still in my nose as I type. People smoke in the rooms, and the windows were open in minus 7 degree weather. I can’t stress it enough, do not book here. The owners need to fix this place or shut it down soon.

I thought I was checking into a typical budget Super 8, but the new owners have changed my mind. The rooms have been updated, and the staff are friendly in that hometown way and more than accommodating. I’ve had worse stays at places like DoubleTree and Marriotts. This hotel is definitely above par. I’m glad I’m here for two weeks. It feels like home.
