The outdoor space was a highlight for all of us. We enjoyed the private courtyard, river view, quiet walking paths, and cozy seating. It felt peaceful, open, and well cared for. Our suite was spacious and laid out thoughtfully, with room for everyone and everything we brought. The kitchenette made quick meals easy, and the comfortable beds were great after a long day. We stayed at TownePlace Suites with our two kids and four babies, and had one of our best hotel experiences. The staff made us feel welcome from the start and were understanding and so pet-friendly. Thanks, TownePlace Suites, for making a family like ours feel at home. We’ll be back for sure.

The walls were thin enough that we heard hallway conversations, other guests’ alarms, and dogs barking in other rooms. We won’t be back. We were told at check-in that there’d be no housekeeping during our two-day stay. Even so, staff unlocked our door twice without knocking or announcing themselves. On checkout day they tried it at 7 a.m., then again at 7:30 while we were asleep. Thankfully, the door guard was latched. We shouted that the room was occupied both times, and housekeeping waited while we gathered our things and left, even though checkout wasn’t until 11. We stayed in room 117. Based on some reviews, our first move was to check for bugs. Thankfully, we found none, and the room appeared clean.

The manager was lovely and let us stay just two nights even though this is a long-term stay place. The pet deposit for our short visit was very reasonable, the price was about $50 less than elsewhere nearby, and the location was extremely close and convenient for Ren Fest. We’d stay again. This was our first visit since the new owners took over. About four years ago, under the previous owners, we had terrible customer service. There seem to have been some renovations, and the staff this time were much nicer and very helpful. We had a dog-friendly room, but it still felt a bit run down and the carpet didn’t look vacuumed. One of the beds was sunken in across about half its surface and wasn’t very comfortable. It seemed like someone heavier had used it for a long time.

My stay started out great. I was traveling alone as a woman, and for the price it was a good option in a quiet, safe area. Then, the day before I left, four or five men banged on my door and said they were cleaners who had to enter every room. I told them I was naked in the shower and asked them to wait. They argued, and this happened six times. On the sixth attempt they came in anyway while I was yelling that I was naked. Thank goodness I had the chain lock on. I called the front desk in a panic. The person there said the men were a third-party company cleaning the AC unit, apologized, and said there should have been a note on my door, but there wasn’t. He said he was in the hallway with them and asked how quickly I could get dressed so they could come in. I got dressed, took my valuables, and zipped up my suitcase because I didn’t trust them to respect boundaries. When I got back late that night, there was a sweaty, disgusting man’s sock zipped inside my bag. Yes, a used sock inside my zipped suitcase. I called the desk and was told to call in the morning to speak with the GM. The next day, while traveling home, I called Brandy, the GM. She listened and apologized, but said she needed to speak with the cleaning company and would call back. She wondered if they’d found the sock and thought it was mine, but that doesn’t explain why it was zipped in my bag. She never called back. I’ve called several times and left messages with staff, but no one has returned them. I understand it was a third party, but the front desk person said he was there with them, and the way Townsquare handled this was completely unacceptable.

The staff were friendly when I arrived, but the room they gave me was dirty, with trash and garbage around and an unmade bed that looked untouched. I went to the service counter and asked for another room. Staff called someone, then told me nothing could be done and there were no other rooms available. They didn’t even offer to clean it while I waited. Thankfully there was another bed. I slept six hours with my shoes on and stayed on top of the covers. I’m never coming back, and I’d take my money somewhere else.
