The staff were friendly, and both breakfast and the facilities were pretty good. The pool looked a bit dirty. My room seemed all right until the deadbolt popped out and wouldn’t retract, leaving the door locked open. The desk moved me to another room without a hassle, but I still had to switch rooms. At breakfast, another guest said the hotel wasn’t as nice as other Hampton Inns he’d stayed in. I also heard the front desk clerk say they hold the occasional managers’ reception “when they can afford it.” It gives the impression management is pinching pennies.

The fridge was a decent size, and the beds were very clean. The room cleanliness was average, with a little water mold in some shower areas. The beds themselves were too hard, though. Staff and service were wonderful and helpful, and the continental breakfast was fine.

For the price, I got a good stay with the amenities I wanted: a fridge, microwave, and TV. I stayed two nights for a nearby gaming tournament. The bathroom was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable, though firmer than I prefer. There were plenty of pillows, but they were the usual half-stuffed kind. My second-floor room was reached via an outside stairwell, which wasn’t a problem for me but could be difficult for older guests. Parking took a little effort to find, though it wasn’t terribly inconvenient.

For what we needed, the room worked fine. We arrived late and had a ground-floor room, which made coming and going easy. Access is from outside, so we heard more noise than we might have in an interior-access room. The hotel was fairly full, and the dining area was packed, so we skipped breakfast. The TV came on eventually but wouldn’t turn on or change channels properly, so we gave up. The lock kept sticking out and wouldn’t close when we checked out. The front desk responded well and sent someone to look at it right away.
