Holiday Inn Express Chattanooga - Hamilton Place by IHG Hotel

Everyone was really nice and helpful, and the rooms were super clean. The hotel smelled great as soon as I walked in. Breakfast was good overall, though I wish they’d served bacon on at least one of the four mornings. I’m not a fan of the sausage patties, but everything else was good.

The staff were friendly and professional, and customer service was really good. The hotel is near Hamilton Place mall and lots of shopping, and the internet was pretty fast and reliable. The rooms are where it falls short: the walls are thin, so it can get loud, and the beds are hard, lumpy, and cheap feeling. I like a firm bed, but these were terrible. I understand a hotel might choose harder beds because they cost less and don’t need replacing as often, but comfort suffers. The next morning I heard two other people complain about their hard beds too. Because of that, I don’t think I’d stay here again.

We come back every few months, and the TV reception is still a problem. It was really bad before and is slightly better now, but it still has issues. Why hasn’t management gotten its cheap provider to fix this? This isn’t normal in the hospitality business. I post about it every time we visit. Ugh!

The rooms work well for longer stays, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly too. I’d give it five stars if we hadn’t had noisy neighbors upstairs, which made it clear the floors don’t block sound very well.
