SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chattanooga Downtown/Cameron Harbor

We had pizza delivered from community pie, and it was amazing. The place was clean, and even though the pool was a little colder than I wanted and small for the number of people in it, it was still nice. I later noticed on the bill that the kids’ candy had cost $10 a bar. Thirty dollars for a Kit Kat, Twix, and another bar I can’t remember seemed crazy. The TV didn’t work at all. They had me unplug and replug a bunch of things, with no luck, then wanted us to switch rooms at 10:30 at night with four kids. We’d arrived late, so we hadn’t even used the TV before. When I mentioned it at the desk the morning we checked out, they just laughed. Otherwise, the stay was fine.

The location made it easy to get to all the downtown amenities, and it might be especially handy at Christmas. Meronica at the front desk was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. She really made the stay for me. I had a great experience at the SpringHill Suites Marriott in Chattanooga and would definitely return for the service and location. Highly recommend it.

The complimentary breakfast buffet is a real throwback, and it’s hard to find one with this much fresh food instead of instant oatmeal packets and premade muffins. There’s a big selection, from hot and cold cereal made fresh to eggs, breakfast meats, toast and bagels, pastries, fresh fruit, nuts, juice, coffee, and tea. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and luxurious, just like the rest of this beautiful, spacious hotel. There are lots of places to sit, indoors and out, and the location is central for downtown attractions and restaurants. My favorite hotel in Chattanooga, a true 5/5.

Tracy in food service was a real star, and we looked forward to seeing him at breakfast each morning. The staff were friendly overall, and this was a nice first visit to Chattanooga. We booked a riverwalk view and could see boats and barges from our small balcony. We were there between Christmas and New Year, so I imagine the view would be nicer at other times of year. The room was a little noisy, with plumbing audible from upstairs and carts in the hall pretty early, but we’d stay again.
