St Francis Cottage

You can drive to everything from this peaceful, tucked-away gem, yet it feels secluded. The moment you come up the driveway, you get the sense something special is waiting. Each room is comfortably decorated, and the innkeepers are incredibly kind and sweet. The three course gourmet breakfast was delicious and unlike other B&B breakfasts. If you want a special place at a great rate, St. Francis Cottage is truly lovely.

We booked this for our honeymoon, and Wallace and Nancy were wonderful hosts. The rooms were adorable, cute, and cozy. We arrived a bit late on the first night, and they were welcoming and patient with us. They also worked with my dietary needs. Definitely worth the stay, and we recommend it. P.S. they have a cute doggy.

Breakfast was out of this world, truly some of the best we’ve had, and the hospitality made the whole visit special. The room was cozy and comfortable, with a perfect bed and everything we needed. They’d even thought of useful extras for guests who forgot something, like my toothbrush. We were celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary at the St. Francis Bed & Breakfast in Chattanooga. Ten years ago we honeymooned at the Mayor’s Mansion, but it was fully booked this time, so we took a chance on the St. Francis. We’re so glad we did and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chattanooga.

St. Francis Cottage is newly built specifically to be a bed and breakfast, which was a nice change after visiting the South and staying in refurbished old mansions. My daughter and I shared a lovely room with two beds and a large bathroom with two sinks. Stylish windows looked out on pretty landscaping in a quiet setting, and the bedrooms are separated nicely from each other, apart from the great room where guests eat and meet. We slept well. The hosts live on site and worked quietly but tirelessly to make us comfortable. I highly recommend them and their lovely BNB.
