Best Western Galleria Inn & Suites

Definitely not worth $120. The first room had no working heat, so they moved me, but the replacement took all night to warm up. It was freezing throughout the building, and the hallway ceilings were leaking. This place needs renovating.

The breakfast had a nice range of options, but the room needed work and wasn’t very clean. Several lights and a light switch didn’t work, and the bathroom faucet handles were really loose. The beds were SO uncomfortable, with a big worn dip in the middle. The springs squeaked with even the slightest movement.

The friendly receptionist was the best part of the trip, and breakfast was okay. The rate was supposed to be $130cad a night, but as soon as we crossed the border it became $150USD per night.

I was here July 29-30 for the bar exam, and the stay seriously affected my rest and concentration at a critical time. The AC didn’t work at all during my two nights. The room was unbearably hot and humid, and I was drenched in sweat both nights. There was also a loud mechanical sound, from either AC units or other equipment, like constant drilling or an industrial fan. I asked to change rooms right after checking in on July 29, but was told the hotel was fully booked and nothing could be done. I understand high occupancy, but guests should be warned if the climate control or noise might be a problem. I’d strongly discourage anyone coming for a professional exam or another event that requires rest and quiet from booking here. AC that doesn’t work in the middle of summer is unacceptable.
