Lake Chelan Shores

We really liked the hot tub, and the pool was there too, though we never got around to using it. The view was great, but the place itself felt dated. We came for an early anniversary getaway, and after staying at several Worldmark locations, this was easily one of our worst experiences for service. Our condo was clean enough, but we were disappointed to get a ground-floor unit in a mostly empty building. Even with just a few other guests around, it was pretty loud. The ice maker was broken, and so was the grill. I did manage to cook steaks the first night, but it took a full hour to get them to medium rare. The next night I quit after waiting more than 30 minutes for the grill to reach 200 degrees. Then the smoke detector started chirping every minute or so in the middle of the night because its batteries were low. Customer Service was meant to be available, but nobody answered. The emergency service guy was helpful over the phone, though his suggestion to take out the batteries didn’t work. I unplugged the detector, and surprisingly, that stopped the beeping. A really disappointing stay, especially because the Customer Service was so lacking.
