Americas Best Value Inn

We stay there weekly through my company, along with people from several other companies. Last week, my sheets still had cheesy fingerprints, and there was beet in the fridge from the previous week's guests. Other times there have been no blankets on the bed, and once we waited over an hour to check in even though we were already registered. We now bring our own sheets. If my company didn't require us to stay together, I definitely wouldn't stay here.

Bring your own clean sheets and pillows if you stay. The sheets haven't been clean, and the pillows are flat and badly outdated. We've also found used wash rags left around, old food in the fridge, a microwave that didn't work properly, and almost always cold showers after a long day at work. Check-in has been delayed even with a prior registration. One week we arrived and nobody was at the front desk, so we had to go somewhere else. I'd accidentally left my Roku there the week before. The desk wouldn't check for it when I called, and later wouldn't let a coworker staying there enter the vacant room or look for the device. Now someone is using our Roku, changing our subscribed channels and other settings, so we have to reset all our passwords. I stay there every week, and this has been a recurring problem.

At American Inn, the woman who lives at the hotel said I was stealing her HDMI cables. They were actually curled up behind the TV, but she kept accusing me. After we talked for a while, she said she only gets a certain amount when I reserve online. I guess she wasn't making enough money. What black market would I sell HDMI cables on anyway?

It's cheap, and we didn't see any roaches or bugs. The outside is nice, the grounds are kept up, parking is good, and it's convenient to have a walkout instead of being enclosed in a building. There's a gas station and convenience store next door. The housekeeper was very nice and seemed concerned about making us comfortable. A lot of geese had been by, though, and left droppings everywhere. Inside, the place felt dirty even though you can see they're trying to improve it. I wouldn't use the tub, even just to shower, the chair was dirty, and I wouldn't walk barefoot on the floor. We were shown two rooms first, one missing its TV and another that smelled like a bowel, before we got a decent one. I bring my own blanket. This is okay for a stopover, but the quality doesn't justify the price, even if pricier hotels seem overpriced for a short stay too. It could be good for families with better-kept rooms. I wouldn't stay here alone.
