The lobby is actually pretty nice, and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are spacious, and the water pressure was great. Still, the property needs major work. The rooms feel very dated and smell moldy throughout most of the hotel. Wallpaper is peeling from moisture, especially in the stairwells, and there are carpet stains, burned-out bulbs, and HVAC units that need maintenance. The appliances and plumbing fixtures are in poor shape too. It has some good features, but with the property in this condition and so much mold in the air, it isn’t worth staying here.

The breakfast was just okay, but I was very impressed with this Marriott. Getting good sleep is my priority, and the bed was so comfortable. Staff at the front desk and throughout the motel were kind, friendly, and really genuine. Housekeeping was excellent too. Great stay!

We come every year for our family reunion and love the gathering spaces and outdoor facilities, which make it fun for a big family. The service is the best part. Everyone is consistently kind and friendly. Veronica W. was especially gracious and accommodating when we needed an extra room. She went out of her way to help us get one and noticed we had enough points to cover it. Above and beyond!

Bad weather delayed our cruise trip by an extra day, and the staff were very helpful about adding a night. They even upgraded us to a bigger room. The room was clean, the front desk was nice, and the small breakfast had several choices. It’s in a safe area with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. I’d stay here again if we come back to the Norfolk area.

My daughter and her siblings and friends had a great time in the pool for her 13th birthday. We booked a One Bedroom Queen Suite, and the room was very clean. The only downside was the dim kitchen light. Tara, the front desk manager, and the rest of the desk staff were friendly and even lent us tape to hang decorations. Breakfast was pretty decent: eggs, turkey sausage, a waffle maker, plus coffee, juice, yogurt, fruit, bagels, and other sides. The location is convenient, right off the highway and not far from stores and restaurants. We’ll definitely come back!
