The suite had plenty of room, and the little kitchen made it easy to heat meals and put together breakfast since there isn’t a regular breakfast service. My son made good use of the gym, and I enjoyed sitting outside. The building seems fairly new, with clean, well-kept rooms, furniture, and carpets. We arrived late on a busy weekend, and they still held our reservation. We’d come back and recommend it.
I spent a few months at Candlewood Suites while my new home was being built, and the comfortable room, amenities, and welcoming staff made it one of the best hotel stays I’ve had. Matthew Bonnett, the Director of Sales, was easy to reach whenever I had questions about rates or needed changes during my stay. At the front desk, Shaquitta and Melissa were wonderful to talk with and always made sure my packages arrived safely and I had what I needed. I’d rate the quality and service 10/10. Candlewood Suites is a comfortable, welcoming place to stay in the area, and I highly recommend it.
The place has a nice setting and lots of amenities, but walking across the street to the nearby grocery store didn’t feel safe. I also don’t see the point of a $5 daily parking fee, especially when it doesn’t seem to pay for a security guard. I’ve stayed at plenty of Candlewood locations, where small appliances are usually out on display, and I didn’t see that here. Locals told us there had been an ICE incident that took away all the workers. I can’t verify that, though a lot of the yard work does look unfinished. The elevator is so slow you may as well use the stairs. Without that parking charge, I’d have given it five stars.
The room itself was impeccable, and the woman at the Friday night desk was lovely. My husband and I thought we’d found a good place for our date nights, which we take every three weeks. But the morning housekeeping has made me reconsider. On our first stay, a housekeeper came into the room while I was showering because we hadn’t reached the door quickly enough. That felt inappropriate. When nobody answers or declines service, they should move on. Then at 10:15, someone came back to ask when I’d be leaving, even though checkout is 11. I felt rushed and unwelcome. Update 11/27/25: We tried again when my husband, a platinum member, surprised me with a room booked using his points. At 9:15, housekeeping woke me to ask what time I was leaving. The night before, I’d specifically asked not to be disturbed and was told the do not disturb sign would prevent that. It didn’t. I understand staff need to know who is checking out, but they should coordinate with the front desk. My days start at 4am and run six days a week, so a retreat feels well deserved and exciting. I don’t understand why I have to deal with this instead of the staff communicating with each other.
We had a one-bedroom with lots of space, including separate air controls for the bedroom and the dining and kitchen area. The regular-size fridge, stove, microwave, and other appliances meant we could make dinner if we wanted. Everything was clean and ready to use, and there’s also a small lobby area with snacks and drinks and places to sit. I’d be happy to stay at this location again if I’m in the area. The building seemed brand new or recently renovated, though construction was still happening. Parking was the main issue during our week there. The lot was busy most days, and hopefully they’ll expand it. Staff were helpful and always smiling. We didn’t have much trouble with outside noise, perhaps because our larger room was away from the hallway. I wish the TVs let you cast from your own streaming services.
