Suzanne made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable, and the blue hydrangea room was really comfortable too. This is a lovely bed and breakfast in a peaceful part of Vermont. Have high tea while you're there, it was all delicious.

I spent two nights here on my own and it was just right. Susie was kind and attentive while still giving me space, and made two delicious breakfasts. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the whole inn felt cozy with charming decor. The wifi was super fast. Chester is right there, a small but scenic town with just about everything for a quiet getaway. I'd definitely stay again.

Hannah was lovely, the service was wonderful, and the food was superb. Prices were very fair too.

A cute little small-town place, with loads of lovely things you could buy as gifts for friends or family. The service is great and the food is fantastic. Definitely recommend!

The Rose Room had the most comfortable bed we slept in during our 12 days in Vermont. We spent three nights in early October at the Rose Arbour Inn in Chester, VT, a moderately priced place in a charming old Victorian-style 19th-century house with a wraparound porch. It's quaint and unique, though it is an old house with the issues that come with that. After reading some reviews, I think expectations are the key. Suzy, the host, was warm, hospitable, and fun. We played evening card games with her and another guest. Breakfasts were delicious, and her beautiful dogs were delightful and well behaved if you chose to meet them. If you're after five-star physical amenities, this isn't the place, and you can get a hotel for three times the price. For a distinctive stay with warm hospitality and human interaction, try the Rose Arbour. We'd happily return.
