The antique decorations were lovely to look at, and the staff were so friendly. I picked this B&B for two nights while visiting Lassen park, and the service was amazing. Breakfast was exquisite: one morning there was an omelette with bacon on toast, and the next, sunny-side-up eggs with prosciutto. I loved it!

We loved the beautiful rooms and property, and Eva and the crew made sure we felt cared for throughout our stay. Eva's cooking was wonderful, especially the unique, delicious breakfasts included with the stay. We also appreciated the complimentary coffee and cookies. There isn't a lot to do in Chester, though there's a lake nearby and the B&B is close to Lassen National Park. We had a great dinner at Timber Lodge Brewery down the street, too. You can still see fire damage in the area from the 2021 fires, but I'd highly recommend The Bidwell House.

A sadly burned-out place, a reminder of why the woods are still in the Reserve. I suppose the house stands guard as a home lost to guardianship, first to arrive.

The room was nice, and breakfast was really good. The owners are great, too. If you need to check in late, just let them know and they can arrange it.
