We stumbled on Timber House Lodge after a chaotic travel day trying to get out of the Tahoe basin, with passes closed there and then an unexpected closure of hwy 70. As conditions got worse that evening, we couldn't keep going and needed somewhere to stay. Timber House was a real sanctuary, and we're so grateful for the hospitality. We hope to return in more ordinary circumstances to explore Lake Almanor and Lassen National Park, and try the Brewery, which looks awesome. The lodge itself was great: very clean rooms, super comfortable beds, brand new bathrooms and showers, an easy, quick check-in, a convenient location, and a good price. 100% recommended. Thanks again!

Hannah was a kind, attentive server, and every dish we tried was excellent. The steak tips in garlic butter and cheese curds were great starters, though the steak really stood out with its incredible mushroom, garlic, and wine sauce. We also loved the brisket ta os and the linguine, which I added caramelized whiskey onions to. The restaurant was one of the tastiest I've been to in a while, with consistently good food. We only visited the restaurant.

We were staying in Mill Creek for a visit to Lassen Volcanic National Park and went exploring nearby. Google Maps led us to this well-rated restaurant. We meant to have dinner and got there about 15 minutes before happy hour ended. The happy hour drinks and food had reasonable portions, we were full, and the service was great.

The room was nice, with a comfy bed and soft sheets and towels. We made a mistake with our reservation, but they were kind about it. We also ate at the restaurant, where the food was great. The grilled chicken herb was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was so good.

Kenya was a great waitress, and both meals hit the spot. We had the herb grilled chicken and the chicken caprese sandwich, and my fiancé says the chicken was the best he’s ever had. We’d stopped in on a whim while driving through. The food and atmosphere were amazing, so I’d definitely recommend it.
