We had a great stay, and we'd recommend The Loft at the Remington to friends and family who need a place in the area. Our original nearby lodging fell through because of last-minute plumbing problems just days before a ski trip to Gore with nine extended family members. The Loft was available and fit us perfectly. It's attractive inside, more spacious than the pictures suggest, clean, and well appointed. Four huge bedrooms with private baths worked out great, and the price made sense for a group our size. Steve was friendly and accommodating, with lots of suggestions for out-of-towners. The décor includes historic pictures of the building, one of special interest to my father-in-law, who used to shop there as a boy more than 70 years ago. Chestertown is very small, with restaurants and groceries, but most people would use this as a base to explore the wider area. There are also a lot of stairs to get into the unit, in case that's an issue.
